Recommended for: Healthcare professionals involved in the delivery and care of newborns including Pediatricians, Respiratory Therapists, and Nurses. Also recommended for students interested in this field.

- How to Identify and Use Neonatal Resuscitation Equipment
- Initial Assessments of Newborns
- Positive Pressure Ventilation
- Neonatal CPR and Intubation
- Medication Dosing and Administration
- Integration of all Neonate Skills (Neonatal Megacode)
The 8th Edition course is made up of 2 Parts:
PART 1 - focuses on building a foundation of neonatal resuscitation knowledge.
The learning activities in Part I include:

To access Part 1 of the NRP course, go to https://nrplearningplatform.com/login. Purchase the NRP 8th Edition Advanced Provider Curriculum (lessons 1-14). The online portion of the course is $45. *Once you have completed Part 1, you have 90 days to complete Part 2. *
The NRP 8th Edition curriculum offers 2 NRP provider categories:
- NRP Essentials: Anyone involved in the care of a newborn should take NRP Essentials, which consists of materials in Lessons 1 to 4.
- NRP Advanced: This provider option may be appropriate for those who attend births and responsible for anticipated resuscitation of the newborn with known risk factors and for those who participate in neonatal resuscitation beyond positive-pressure ventilation. The NRP Advanced participant is responsible for materials in Lessons 1 to 11.
Any learner may study supplemental lessons 12 to 14 but will not be tested on that material.
PART 2 - The Instructor-led skills session (hands-on portion of the course)
- Attend an Instructor-led Event and bring completion certificate of Part 1
- Upon successful completion of the skills session, participants are eligible to receive an NRP ecard. Once the online course evaluation is completed, an electronic Course Completion Card will be available in the learner’s profile of the NRP Learning Platform. The provider status must be renewed every 2 years.
